From the Guest Book of Casa Monteverde

In our time here we have seen + experienced all four seasons.
We have had to turn back as the road was blocked with snow in Gran Sasso and then the next day sunbathed on the balcony.
We have seen Autumn …it seen evidence of Spring bulbs breating through.
Giulio is a gentleman in all the senses of the word. This is a very beautiful area and the mountains are incredible, I’ve only seen them from the air before, driving up them really gives some sense of scale.
These have been some very relaxing days, good food, good company and memorable times.
I would hope to come back here one day and have a swim in the sea.

Five wonderful days of fantastic scenery and amazing weather.
A trip on the cable car from Assergi to the top of the snow covered mountain (Campo Imperatore) was stunning – the sun was shining and the wind was blowing the snow so at times one could hardly see – it was an amazing experience. L’Aquila was well worth a visit as was Ascoli Piceno (in Marche) but such visits only scratched the surface of the wonderful history and geography/geology of the area. Thank you so much Giulio and Fiorella for a lovely break.
